puff pastry princess plus size romance series Reviews
This looked like a cute romance, so I quickly read through it. I'm sorry to say that I found the plot ridiculous, and the characters to be caricatures. The writing was terrible and had no depth. I was very disappointed.
Sweet as sugar and a little naughty. I love this decadent series. Let's face it - we're not all a size 2, or even a size 14, so it's nice to see romances that feature full-figured heroines, and heroes who realize these women just give them more to love. I really enjoyed the premise of this book and the hot rancher hero. As far as romances go, this one is as light and fluffy as the puff pastries on the cover. Delightful! Can't wait for the next one.
DNF at 47%.This would be great if you like authors that can't write, heroines who are bitches, language for no apparent reason, and a love interest who's supposedly so burned he doesn't do women, yet is a puppy from moment one.Badly written drivel. Her rich mommy actually calls her 'daughter', and she's a self-absorbed, horrible person. The concept intrigued me, but it should never have been tackled by this writer. It was a horribly done mess, not worth finishing.
I actually really enjoyed it. I loved Honor's character. She was strong willed and a spitfire! She feels good about herself and is smart and has a great personality. Now, I admit she is a bit spoiled but not necessarily her doing. Her parents were awful. I dont know which is worse though her mom or dad? Ok...so maybe her mom. I mean what kind of mother admits her daughter is an embarrassment? She was pretty damn harsh to her. Talk about verbal abuse! Her dad wasnt much better but on his end he just agreed to whatever his wife says. Has no backbone or stands up for anything much less his own daughter. All because of money. Sorry but a lot of people grow up in poverty and poor but dont treat their kids like that. Greedy. Anyways, they send her to a "modern" fat farm pretty much. Maxwell runs it and I wouldnt consider him an older man necessarily. I mean age wise he is compared to her but not by much. He's 35 and she's 22. He's had a horrible experience with women and doesnt trust. Hes got the scars to prove it! Its a great story and a HEA. I just laughed my butt off at her antics and their verbal sparring. :) Cute story. As always, I wish it were longer and their relationship was more developed.
When Honor is shipped off to a weight loss camp for wealthy girls, she plans to do anything except comply. When she meets Maxwell London, the founder of the boot camp program, she's bowled over by the attraction she feels for him. And when she learns he thinks she's sizzling hot without losing an ounce, Honor comes up with a startling plan to secure her future. I found this book so enjoyable I read it in one sitting. I loved the feisty characters, the humorous scenes and simmering tension growing between the pair before a very satisfying ending.
Book 7 in the plus size romance series is amazing. I think it might be my favorite so far, but it's hard to say as I have loved every one of them! I can't wait to see what this author comes up with next. I think it is so brilliant and cute the way she ties the desserts in with the story line so perfectly. Love, love, love and highly recommend this series!
My wife loves this romance series so much that she has read each one aloud to me. I have to say that this man is not only a fan of plus-size, curvy women, but I am also a die-hard fan of these well-written, sexy, humorous and fun romances!
